Steals n Deals

What I'm Wearing: // Coat | Forever 21 // Cropped Top | Thrifted // Baggy Jeans | Vintage // Shoes | H&M // Belt | Vintage

I'm all about getting more out of less. Everything that I'm wearing totals up to be less than $50. Let's break it down, shall we? The coat that I'm wearing is from Forever 21. I'm quite selective when it comes to purchasing from Forever 21 because you never know how the quality will turn out. It's usually a straight on hit or miss for me when I shop at Forever. Depending on the location and time of year, they can carry quite a few great quality items. I found this gem of a coat a year ago at Forever 21. It was the last one in the store and retailed for about $60 which was reasonable for the quality and sturdiness of it. It was in a size medium, which is usually too big for me, but I had to purchase it. The deal on this coat was 50% off, making the coat only $30. Quite a steal!

Moving on down to the bottom half, my shoes are from H&M. These boots are absolutely gorgeous, classy, and SO sexy and I am so in love with them. I'm usually a little skeptic with the quality of the shoes at H&M, but they do sometimes carry shoes with great quality. Again, sometimes it's just a complete hit or miss. These boots were again, the last ones in the store. They are genuine leather, and the retail price was $129. They're great, great quality and so slick. I was lucky enough to get the amazing sale price on these beauts. I purchased them for $7 and I had never been happier that day. Let's be real. Steals like that just don't come around often enough!

The top I purchased was thrifted for $5. My jeans were a vintage hand-me-down DIY'ed with rips, and my belt was a vintage hand-me-down as well.

Totaling up what I would have spent for this outfit: around $250

Windy Day

What I'm Wearing: // Leather Jacket | Zara // Top | Brandy Melville // Shorts | Vintage // Belt | Vintage // Boots | H&M

The days are getting cooler, but it's still not quite as cold. My thigh high boots are my favorite for this fall season. They keep my legs warm when the wind starts blowing the cooler air. This leather jacket is my favorite in my collection so far. The length of sleeves are perfect for my short arms and I love the little belt is the perfect touch, giving me the opportunity to buckle it closed to create a thick, leather shirt which I think would be so unique for the winter days. Thanks to my buddy, Freddy for being able to capture decent photos of me even though the wind was blowing me over this day.

Big Sweater, No Pants | No. 2

Turtleneck

What I'm wearing: // Knit Turtleneck Sweater | Forever 21 // Thigh High Boots | H&M //

I'm finally feeling the fall weather and I'm absolutely ecstatic. The leaves are turning orange and the cool wind is blowing. The holiday coffee cups are out, and I'm playing my favorite fall records. Here is outfit number two of my Big Sweater, No Pants series. This outfit is so easy to throw on but it makes me feel put together because of the neat turtleneck. I'm in love with this knit sweater. It's soft and not itchy at all. Once again, I've centered this outfit around my thigh high boots which lock in all the warmth for my poor legs. Everything about this outfit is simple and comfortable, yet perfect for the season and pops in all the right ways. This look is less flowy than outfit number 1, so if you're not into blowing gracefully in the wind, this look may be a better fit. ;)

Different Outfits That Are The Same

Series 1: Big Sweater, No Pants
Blankets
What I'm Wearing: // Poncho | Forever 21 // Scarf | Forever 21 // Thigh High Boots | H&M //

Welcome to my first post of my "Different Outfits That Are The Same" series. This series is basically me putting together variations of the same outfit. These outfits can be worn in many different ways, so there will be a different outfit for every day of the week. The first outfit is the Big Sweater, No Pants look. *Disclaimer: I'm wearing shorts. This outfit is centered around my thigh high boots, which I have been completely obsessed with for days. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I've basically been wearing these in all my posts every day. And now I'm going to be wearing them for another week straight. No regrets. This outfit made me feel like one giant blanket. From the giant poncho to the oversized scarf, it didn't matter that I had no pants on in this (lucky) 60 degree weather today. The long poncho and giant scarf kept me so warm. It was literally like wearing a blanket! The thigh high boots really are perfect for fall weather. They look perfect with short dresses and shorts but are able to keep my legs warm through the day.

Fall in Los Angeles

What I'm Wearing: // Coat | Forever 21 // Blouse | GAP // Shorts | Vintage GAP Jeans DIY // Boots | Zara // Bag | Zara

In all honesty, it's still f**ckin hot in LA, so I wouldn't even know if I could consider the fall season even being here yet. And here's a little secret: It was probably about 90 degrees when I shot this lookbook. So, this probably isn't what I would wear on a fall day in Los Angeles. But, there have been some very lucky days where the clouds have rolled in and the temperature went down a little bit! This look is perfect for me on those days. The blouse and shorts are super comfortable for the warmth throughout my days in California. The trench coat comes in handy for the chilly mornings and cool evenings.

Go-To School Outfit

What I'm Wearing: // Leather Jacket | Zara // Top | Forever 21 // Boyfriend Jeans | Brandy Melville // Adidas | UO

Yes, I am quite aware of the fact that all these photos look exactly the same, but in my defense, I was too lazy to just choose one photo. The point is, we all have that one go-to outfit that is perfect for certain occasions. Let's talk school. I'm in college, and I walk around a lot. The weather is always changing because on certain days, I spend 13 hours on campus. So, it's freezing cold in the morning, then blazing hot in the afternoon, and chilly inside the classrooms. I'm done making dumb wardrobe mistakes and ending up uncomfortable for the whole day at school. So, this is my go-to perfect outfit for a day at college. Sneakers are my savior. God forbid I try walking from one end of the campus to the next in my clunky chunky heeled boots. I'll never wear pajama bottoms to school, so baggy jeans are the next best thing. They are so comfortable, and I don't have to worry about underwear lines and wedgies! A light tank top is perfect for the sunny days to come in Los Angeles (will fall ever actually come?), and a small leather jacket is perfect for the chilly mornings and AC blasting classrooms. WALA! Throw on my backpack and I'm off.

London Girl

What I'm Wearing: // Hat | Zara // Coat | Zara // Top | Brandy Melville // Trousers | Brandy Melville // Shoes | Zara

I'm always on the lookout for a matching set. I originally purchase this coat from Zara, not even thinking about finding matching trousers to pair with it. I found these trousers from Brandy Melville and instantly remembered I had a similar coat. I was so excited to go home and try these two together and LUCKY ME, they matched perfectly. It's exceptionally challenging to try and find two pieces that match perfectly with each other (if they don't already come in a set). Trust me, I've been trying to find sets for what feels like years now, and I haven't successfully purchased a matching set until this little suit ensemble. I'm in love. It's classy and posh and so London. I have a feeling I'll be spending the rest of 2015 trying to purchase more matching patterned suits.

The Gold Boots

What I'm Wearing: // Top | Brandy Melville // Jeans | American Apparel // Boots | Zara // Bag | Zara

You can blame Harry Styles for this style transformation I'm going through. If you know anything about me, you know about my unhealthy obsession with One Direction and my undying love for Harry Styles. You know that my life long dream is to style for these guys. Through these years of being such a fangirl, I've followed these boys' style transformation closely. Harry's in particular has grown on me the most. The outrageous printed button-downs. The crazy boots. I love it all. And I'm being 100% honest. I'm not trying to claim this style as MINE. Because 90% of the time, I'm trying to look like Harry Styles. So of course, the gold boots are a necessity. Lucky enough for me, Zara has dupes of the signature Saint Laurent boots (also the sparkly boots!). So, instead of paying $1k, I can drop about $100 and still somewhat pull it off. I've grown a real love for these statement boots. They're the easiest way to bring an outfit to life, ie. my black jeans and black t-shirt. These boots really attract the eyes and they add so much personality to any outfit you decide to pair with these boots. These boots are honestly a treasure. I imagine sparkles flying from them every time I take a step.

The Bandana Necktie

What I'm Wearing: Bandana | found at home. // Dress | Brandy Melville // Sandals | Zara

I saw this trend on the rise during spring around the time of the Coachella madness. I absolutely fell in love with the look and it was a hit trend for summer 2015. After rummaging through the drawers of my old bedroom, I finally found my old black bandana. Originally, I used it for decorating the wall in my old apartment, and I never thought it would be cool to actually wear a bandana again. I was totally wrong. I've seen so many babes rocking this neck tie and I love the western cowgirl vibes it gives off. Very summery. This is just one way I would style the bandana. It's a little more dressed up than what I usually would go for but I just absolutely love the pop of color this dress gives me. It's so easy to wear, yet it's so eye grabbing.  I love this bandana so much that I'll be using it to liven up so many more of my outfits and I plan on posting other ways I style this piece. Favorite trend of the summer!
