Changes

Hello! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a post stating that I was taking a break from blogging and YouTube during this fall/winter season. I decided to take this break because I knew I was about to get very very busy. And I have been! This is my last semester of college. I just graduated in May 2016, but am taking this fall semester to finish up one more class and start interning. While I'm not studying to pass this last class and earn my degree in fashion merchandising and marketing, I'm interning at a fashion PR showroom here in Los Angeles. I've been loving everything that has come my way this semester, but I've just been too busy to schedule shoots for my blog and Youtube.

BUT, the bigger reason why I decided to take this break was because I wasn't happy with the content I've been putting out. I feel that my content is not showing all of me as a person. It's not reflecting who I really am. My style has been changing and I'm sad that I haven't been able to document it and share it with you guys, but I'm still figuring out so much and my head has been very cluttered and disorganized when it comes to creating content.

I really do miss sharing content on my platforms and I can't wait to come back. As this semester is nearing the end, and my internship program is coming to a close, it's time for me to make a comeback. I've had a lot of time to think about myself and I really miss interacting with followers. A huge reason that I left was because I felt that I wasn't doing any favors to anyone. I felt like I wasn't helping anyone or providing any entertainment or inspiration for anyone. I was starting to feel like I wasn't unique.

After deciding to take a break, I've still received a lot of support and positive comments, which I'm so thankful for! The main feedback that I've gotten was to stay inspired and not to give up, but to come back stronger.

As 2016 comes to an end, I know I have a lot to look forward to. I have a lot to prove to myself and the people around me. I can't wait to really explore who I am and hopefully make people proud.

For now, please keep in touch! XO

SILKY LOOKBOOK

It's been a silky smooth summer.
Here are a few looks that I styled using my most worn silk pieces this summer.
Silky lookbook is on THE CITY WOLFF channel now! xx

Silk & Sneakers

Zara Sunglasses | ASOS Pearl Choker | Brandy Melville Necklace
Brandy Melville Silk Top | Forever 21 Bralette | ASOS Belt
Thrifted shorts | Puma Sneakers

Summer is hotter than ever and my favorite summer trend is silk. All things silk! I'm so in love with every silk piece I've encountered and I've made it my mission to accumulate as much silk as I can this summer. I find it really hard to be trendy when it's over 100 degrees. So far, this has been my go-to outfit of Summer 2016. The silk is just so airy and light and feels really nice on my skin. During the summer, I want to be wearing the least amount of clothes possible. This open silk top is so breezy and I just decided to wear a bralette underneath. At this point, the heat is so unbearable, I don't care how much skin I show! ;-)

Peach & Lily

Cheers to radiance!
The Peach & Lily team were so lovely to reach out and send me a care package to treat myself. The Peach & Lily x Caolion #PerfectPores campaign is all about radiance in your skin. Obviously, I always desire to have radiant skin so I was thrilled to have this 'perfect pores kit' sent to me. Here I am with a review of the kit to explain what worked for me! Hopefully, this can help some of you figure out if it'll work for you. Thanks Peach & Lily. Check them out if you please!

WHAT COMES IN THE KIT
Three face masks:
1. Pore Original Pack
2. Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack
3. Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask
One foam face cleanser

MY FAVES OF THE KIT
These are what agreed with my skin the most and my suggestions of what products to get if you're planning on selecting ONE to get. If you want to try the whole kit, by all means, I say GO FOR IT! Everyone will have different results.

Time for Dan's faves! I loved the Pore Original Pack and Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack face masks. Each box comes with a tiny little spoon to apply the mask onto your face if you don't want your fingers getting too messy, which is lovely! I prefer to just smack it on with my hands.

The Pore Original Pack
The Pore Original Pack claims to "cool, tighten, and soothe." This shit cools. When I say it cools, I mean GIRL, IT COOLS. This mask had my face feeling like an ice cube. That may not be a nice feeling to some people, so this mask may not be for you, but if you live in a hot city and you need a nice way to cool down, this mask will do that in seconds. Especially reaching the summer days, I know it's going to start getting really hot in my home, so this mask will really come in handy when I need to cool down after a long, hot day. I suppose with the cooling, my skin started to tighten up as a reaction to the coldness. So, this mask really does what it claims! I found it very soothing and refreshing. The only thing to be cautious of is avoiding your eyes. It does say this in the directions, so be careful! This mask is so cool and minty, so when I accidentally got this in my eyes when washing it off, it did start to burn.

The Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack
The Bubble Pore Pack is my personal favorite! This mask is so fun, and not like any other typical face mask. This mask bubbles as you apply it to your face. It starts off as a smooth, gray cream that you apply on your face, and as it sits on your skin for a couple seconds, it starts to foam up all around your face. It's awesome, and it feels so nice. On the box, it claims that it's for "bubbles, sensitive, and complexion." It's definitely more gentle than original cooling mask, so if you're not into a cold blast on your face, this mask might be the one for you. It bubbles up, feels so soft, and definitely makes my skin feel more bright after I wash it off.

Thanks again P&L! I hope you guys found this helpful if you're looking for some facial products.

THE CHOKER '16

I'm back again with another video and I've noticed that these lil chokers have been such a huge trend. I've been loving the chokers and I decided to make a video on how I style chokers. I hope you enjoy and get some inspiration for styling your own choker! See you in my next one.

Grandma Sweaters & Grandpa Loafers

Sweater | Forever 21 / Jeans | Forever 21 / Loafers | H&M

I'm back and here I am, rocking the total grandpa look, but I managed to make it work. This entire look is completely inexpensive, but the quality is all there. I''ll be honest, I don't remember how much any of these items costed, but I'm almost positive that this entire look was $100 or less. I'll be brutally honest. Forever 21 and H&M are the stores that I need to spend extra time in because a lot of the time, I find that quality isn't there. But there are a few great quality pieces for a very inexpensive price if you look hard enough! And I've managed to find a great knit sweater, perfect boyfriend jeans, and genuine leather loafers.

There's something about turtle necks that make me look like a grandma. To lessen my grandma features a little bit, I tend to tuck my hair into my collar to try and look a little more high fashion. A high fashion grandma, if you will. Now loafers! Total grandpa loafers, I know. But that pointed-toe takes me from grandpa to- (kind of) dapper and chic? At least that's what I would say.

I still do want to remember my actual age is 21 years old, so I realized if I wore plain black jeans, I might just look depressed. So to edge it out a little bit, some destroyed boyfriend jeans did the trick. Nothing says edgy like rips everywhere!

And together, I present to you, my grandma look.

SPRING BREAK WEAR

The best thing about this outfit (speaking for myself only) is that it is almost completely thrifted! The shirt, the jacket, and the shorts are all thrifted. My boots are from Free People, more of an investment piece at around $200. The quality is there, so trust. They are definitely worth the money. I put this quick look together for a collaboration with College Fashionista x MTV for a Spring Break article. College Fashionista and MTV wanted to know how I would dress for Spring Break traveling as well as my three must-haves in my bag for traveling. I've repeated this many times before, but the most important thing in an outfit to me is comfort. Who wants to be traveling in an uncomfortable outfit anyway? It's easy to travel in a comfortable outfit while still looking stylish and put together. I just threw on a white t-shirt and vintage denim blue jeans! I've been feeling very 90's lately so I decided to go double denim and throw on this thrifted denim jacket on top for when it gets chilly. And I always find that a pair of nice ass shoes will always turn a simple outfit fab.

My three most important travel items I'll need in my bag are:
1. A portable charger!
2. Sunglasses
3. Travel size perfume

Those are the three most reached for things while I've been traveling. Other than my phone and headphones. Oh. Headphones. I might have to rethink my travel essentials!!!

Ohh Yeah

What I'm Wearing: Top | Forever 21 // Jeans | Zara // Boots | Zara

I've been channeling my inner Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad. When I saw these jeans in the store, I instantly thought of Chiara mixed with a little bit of Moschino. I'm not one to wear a lot of sparkles, but that doesn't mean I don't love them. Chiara is known for the dazzling sparkles in her collection, mostly seen in her (to die for) shoes and her phone cases. The sparkling emoji patches on the jeans reminded me of something Chiara would put on one of her bags or shoes, or maybe even wear herself. And if I wasn't attracted to these jeans already because of their classic mom fit, the sparkling patches are emojis of burgers, ice cream, and a shake. Honestly me.

I wasn't so sure about the huge 'Ohh Yeah' screaming on my leg, but I've learned the love the loudness since it really matched the whole look of the jeans anyway. If you take a closer look at my pockets, they're embroidered with 'I AM OK' which pretty much sums up my every day response when someone asks, "How are you today?"

My favorite part of these jeans would have to be right at the very cuff. The block lettered 'WORK.' I'll tell you a secret though. It actually says "WORK IT," but since I'm so short, I have to roll up my jeans and cover the 'IT' in 'WORK IT.' But to be quite honest, I prefer just 'WORK' anyway. I'm sure Rihanna would agree. On a casual day, I'd probably just style these jeans with a pair of plain white sneakers, but since I was feeling quite diva-ish, I decided to throw on my shiny ombre heel boots, of course inspired by Dior. Ya girl is trying to finish college so I won't be able to afford Dior boots any time soon, so these will do.

There's still hope for my future though. ;-)
See you in my next one!

Dan
