Hello lovely people! One trend that I've been really loving when it comes to street style is the culottes. Culottes are basically just trouser pants that are hemmed a little bit longer than the knee. This style is very 60's-80's-esque and I love that it's a huge trend that has been rising today. The moment I started seeing bloggers and fashionistas wearing culottes, I fell in love. This is quite rare for me because I tend to dislike new trends when they first start arising. I have to give myself time to get a taste of the trend and try it out for myself to see if it works for me. Then I end up deciding either it's not for me, or I'm all for it! But the culottes caught my eye instantly and I totally decided I was for it immediately. I had been wanting to buy a pair for ages, but the only pairs I could find were a bit out of my budget range. After much patience, I went into Forever 21 one day not even looking for a pair of culottes! But after lots of digging around the new collections, I found somewhere hidden in a rack, ONE pair of black culottes, in my size. This is a rare occasion for me so I definitely was planning to buy them no matter what the price was. When I looked at the tag, the price said $4.99. That's right, people. $5! For a new pair of perfect culottes. I checked every inch of it. Maybe there was something wrong with seaming or maybe there was a sewed up rip, but there was nothing wrong with them. They just happened to be a hidden sale item. Long story short, I found a pair of black culottes for $5. Go to Top Shop and the same pair would be at least $80. Mind you, I'm aware of the differences in quality. I'm all about investing in better quality material rather than spending less to get a dupe with horrible quality material. But this pair was fairly great material and I know it'll be durable for a long time.

So I styled these culottes in two ways. One for a colder day and one for a warmer day! It's simple enough. If you couldn't tell already, all I did to the outfit was throw a coat over it / add a floppy hat to it. The outfit that I styled can easily be transformed into a night out in a (mildly) chilly city or out shopping on a spring day. I hope you enjoy this outfit! I'll probably incorporate these culottes in a future haul video IF you guys would like to see a haul video in the future. Let me know!

See you in my next post!

XO,
Dan
